About the Artist:
Nancy Ospina was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia and spent her childhood living in different places which opened her vision to the reality of many communities across the country. Throughout her life, Nancy has always been interested in social issues and how to create reflections about them— naturally, she was drawn to the visual arts. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, Nancy delved even more into the visual art practice, which involved her body, drawing, education, and community projects. Her artwork is the result of her own life experiences and explorations of social issues.
